Cyber crime is an evil having its origin in the growing dependence on computers in modern life. In a day and age when everything from microwave ovens and refrigerators to nuclear power plants is being run on computers, cyber crime has assumed rather sinister implications.

Police personnel from the state police forces and central police forces of the country will be taking part in the professional competitions such as Anti-Sabotage Check, Computer Awareness, Dog Competition, Police Photography, Scientific-Aids to Investigation and Videography, and Prime Minister’s medal for live saving, etc.

The AIPDM and its competitions have been a source of encouragement to the State Police Forces and Central Police Forces of the country and are a constant inspiration to all the police personnel for doing their best in their professional duties.

The Meet is going to witness large-scale participation of police personnel from different parts of the country. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the smooth functioning of the Meet.

Apart from this, special competitions – Technical Papers, Elocution and Drawing/Cartoon – and a seminar “PoliceTECH 2.0and an exposition “SECURE 2.0are being planned. The theme of the special competitions and seminar and exposition is: The role of ICT in effective policing.
